Capital Concerts produces some of the largest and most challenging live performances on television. The small core staff, lead by Executive Producer Jerry Colbert, work year round, with hundreds more joining during the final weeks to help us pull off the miracle of live television. Almost before the credits roll for one year's performance, planning begins for the next year's program. Bringing together partners like the National Park Service, the Capitol police and award-winning performance and production staffs, these programs go on every year, rain or shine. As live productions there is no room for error, no way to redo something or edit it before broadcast. In the whirlwind of rehearsal the week before broadcast, the pieces come together, timings are refined and last minute challenges overcome. We are forever thankful to all of those who help to make these important programs possible and to the heroes we have the honor of remembering and the country we celebrate every year. When we receive the emails and letters after the broadcasts, we know again that the effort has been well worthwhile. Thank you for your continued support.
